The Herald Sun (newspaper) had a brownie recipe this weekend that looked amazing.
So I had to try it.
Unfortunately, it looks better than it is.
It's perfectly edible, but it's not as chocolatey as it looks, and the texture isn't as dense and chewy as I'd like.
Must keep looking.

I agree - brownies have to be thick, fudge-y and oh-so-chocolately. How annoying it wasn't as good as it could have been :(
I bought a lovely book all about high-tea treats, I shall bring it to Imbolc. It has a few brownie recipes in it that sound pretty amazing.
I also have a chilli chocolate recipe from Henry Langdon, but it was a little dry. I think most brownies need to be underbaked to get that fudginess.
.. Or just make a giant chocohotopot.
