My big brother is home from London for a while, and decided that he wanted me to make chocolate mousse. I put him off for a day, but since I'm almost always up for some cooking I relented. It's been years since I made chocolate mousse, but I really don't know why - it's so easy! Being made from my usual favourite 72% this is a very dark mousse. With no added sugar, it's not quite what I expected from a mousse, but has a certain dark, bitter charm. I will definitely be making this again, both with this chocolate and with a lighter variety.
On Friday, Andrew came home with a rooster has named Bruno. Like our previous roosters, Bruno is a bit of a reject. We got him for free. He has shown no interest in the girls, but he follows Andrew around. He was apparently raised with little girls cuddling him, so on Saturday night he made a break for freedom, and headed next door where there are some (relatively) little girls.
